This was the 'Fripp' sale:
'Barnes Terrace on The Thames 1827' - No further action needed on this one but given the non availability of this catalogue this note is retained for follow up if required.

These are pictures 'sold' by 'Hogarth':
'Waggon, Snowdon, Early Morning'
'Hot Wells, Bristol - storm coming on'; this is 'The rising squall, hot wells, from St. Vincent's rock, Bristol' exh. RA 1793

The sources of this information are: Redford vol II page 120; B&J cat. No. 10; C.F. Bell page 26 and The Art Journal September 1864. In particular The Art Journal has an entry for this sale (the 9th July 1864) and is definitive about the oils. Redford lists these pictures as oils.C.F. Bell makes the mistake shown in the Redgrave sequence (Page Ref: 08_00).

The Art Journal also tells of at least one Turner Watercolour (see Page Ref: 07_71 - Reconstruction of 9th July 1864 Sale Catalogue) so more is going on than we currently know about. I expect is to see watercolours in the sale that belonged to Nixon.

On Page Ref: 70_10 there is a reconstruction of the collection of Rev. Robert Nixon.in the chronological order of aquisition; Rochester, Canterbury, Rising Squall, Avon, Canterbury, Waltham Abbey, Snowdon,Nile, and disposal

To find out how Woolner aquired 'Battle of the Nile' and whether he also had the Bristol Watercolour and if so how it passed to the [Hull] [(Proctor)-Portas-Fussey][Patton] part of the provenance.

This sale may have extended into14th May 1860 the date that 'Rochester Castle' was auctioned (lot 168) by Dr. Hering.

I have Christies Sales 1910 to 1945 in Three volumes listed by artist alphabetically, manuscript. Turner entries here.
I need an earlier book(s) for the period 1793 to 1910

There are vague references in Christies e-mails, one would think that these must exist (and the 1864 catalogues) and I did ask for copies (Just the Turner Pages) but they were not forthcoming.

Newspaper reports for 1793

The first link in the literary evidence is in 1852 - Cunningham's 'Memoir'. At this time the oil was with Nixon (probably in Tasmania). Looking back to before 1837 the picture was with Re. Robert Nixon in various locations.(see Page Ref: 59_50)

Possibly Anthony Pasquin (John Williams)

Others are mentioned: Donaldson, David Hume, Frances Hutcheson.

e-mail to the Royal Academy (December 2019); more Anderdon papers and Critiques. These have been obtained and there is not any reference at all to Turner's 1793 picture or watercolours.
