Christie's sale of 9th July
1864 in The Art Journal 1864 page 267, of
The
Country Waggon, Snowdon - Early Morning and
The rising squall, hot wells,
from St. Vincent's rock, Bristol (lots 151 & 152)

The
Country Waggon, Snowdon - Early Morning which Reynolds had purchased
from the sale.
The objective of this exercise is to identify
'Reynolds'. There are other 'Reynolds' transactions in
George Redford 'Art Sales' but he
is not recorded as a buyer in the 1864 Turner section [Redford,
page 120]. All of Redford's Reynolds transactions (all sales) have
been extracted and compared with entries in Graves and auction catalogues.
