NB: due to some earlier mix-up with dates there may be some references to this sale as 27th February 1864 - this note will be removed when all the references have been corrected.

NB: some entries are copied from machine read, OCR, data and contain inaccuracies.

It would be useful to know from whom the Huskinsons purchased their collection. It would also be useful to know future transactions of each work. Various sources of information are examined below.

Tabley House 1825 is illustrated. One picture, Collins, 'A fisherman's boy' is possibly the picture in the 27th April 1864 sale but the comparison is vague.The Tabley collection was sold at Christies on 7th July 1827.

'Sea Shore: Sun Rise' at Tabley House in 1825, page 7 No. 15. Sold 1827 lot 44 buyer: White, £210. A boat, a possible fisherman, a dog, a basket and a boy appear in a coastal scene. The boy is facing the viewer and we see the back of the fisherman.
