Margaret Douglas (neé Oldershaw), wife of Rev. James Douglas and her family.

From line 16 the siblings were:

• James Oldershaw MD of Stamford, Lincolnshire
• Rev. John Oldershaw BD, Archdeacon of Norfolk
• Martha, wife of Sir Richard Glode of Mayfield Place, Kent
• Margaret, wife of Rev. James Douglas.

The daughter, Margaret, referred to on line 21, as married to M. Tucker, is Margaret Martha Whiteman Douglas, the daughter of Rev. James Douglas and Margaret (Oldershaw); baptised showing her father's name as 'Whiteman' and therefore possibly the child of Margaret oldershaw before her marriage to James Douglas.[see: Baptism Record]

Note: "The relics found by Mr. Douglas ... were sold by his widow". This indicates that Rev. James Douglas left his material possessions to his wife. The picture by JMW Turner, 'Rochester Castle and the Adjacent Ground' was given by Margaret Martha Whiteman Douglas after 1811 to a nephew of her husband [Nephew's Letter]; ie: the picture was possibly not given, by JMW Turner, to Rev. James Douglas but to Margaret Martha Whiteman Douglas (who, according to the Nephew's Letter, purchased the canvas in Rochester).
