The video demonstrated the 'opposite view' relationship between the rock complex depected D00389 and the oil on canvas. Here, details of the rock complex on the watercolour (left) and the oil (right) are compared; green arrows show the direction of viewpoint on the oil and red arrows show the direction of viewpoint on the watercolour. On the watercolour the dome rock is closer to the observer than the overhanging rock. On the oil, the opposite view, the overhanging rock is closer to the observer. The anomaly just to the left and above the green arrow on the oil is repaired damage, mentioned earlier. These details are not to scale.

• The rock complex on D00389, however, did not exist; it was invented by JMW Turner.
• Similar structures, found elsewhere, differ considerably from these two images of this rock complex.
• Two images of the dome rock exist elsewhere suggesting that D00389 may have been an amalgamation of different views.

The inscription on D00074 defines the location of D00389 as St. Vincent's Rock, Bristol. The rock complex on D00389 and its counterpart, an identical rock complex, from the opposite direction, on the oil define the location of the oil. The scene on the oil is a squally representation of rocks, water, broken clouds, boats and fishermen. It seems appropriate therefore to refer to the oil as, 'Squall at St Vincent's Rock, Bristol'.
