1910 Finberg 'Turners Sketches and Drawings'

1910 Finberg 'Turner's Sketches and Drawings' makes no mention of a 1793 oil. Much of this book is based on Wyllie and therefore, in respect of the existance of a 1793 oil, on the erroneous conclusions of CF Bell.

It demonstrates a gradual moving away from Cunningham's concept of 'a picture of the following year - 1793' and instead just includes a very broad outline of Turner's life before 1794.

• The concept of Turner's first Oil exhibit being 1793 has disappeared from the literary record.
