131 INTERIOR OF THE MOSQUE, Cordova <Córdoba>
- 'Cordova' exh. Manchester 1857, No.737 page 199; lent by R.B. Preston
Esq.
Manchester 737 is amongst watercolours but the known version in the
Prado is an oil on canvas.
However, there is an 1833 watercolour version at Yale
B.1975.4.1368. (Note: the small Yale/Mellon 'St. Augustine's Gate' is
B.1975.4.1764: So Mellon's Cordova was definitely a Preston/Berthon
watercolour which greatly supports the Berthon link for 'St. Augustine's
Gate')
