CHRISTIE'S (DRAKE) SALE 7th JANUARY 1893

Notes:

This is a sale of Drake's remaining works after the sale of 27th June 1891. These appear to be works that were not included in the 27th June 1891 sale; not unsold works from that sale.

This sale is of interest to see whether any of the works herein previously belonged to Nixon and to see whether any work might be 'The Rising Squall'. The answer on both issues is 'no'. The works do however, need to be marked up as 'sold' in Drake's collection which is in progress.

There appears to be another mistaken identity in this catalogue at lot 74 printed as 'Roberts', crossed out and replaced in manuscript; illegible, sadly.
